Hello, my name is Vienna .. Yes like the sausage! I am a 14 year old spunky Miniature Dachshund who LOVES to eat and play. I also enjoy exploring the backyard, where I sometimes come across my Easter Egger chickens and imagine I should have been named 'Dora The Explorer.' I am extremely loyal and very smart, much like the clever Three Striped Mud Turtles I admire!
Hello, I am Squirt, a Three Striped Mud Turtle. I was found by my owner as a baby, smaller than a quarter, and they thought I might have been dropped by a bird since there was no water in sight. I live in the water but love to come out and bask. I won't get bigger than 4-5 inches. I am a picky eater and have a particular fondness for Super Meal Worms. While I enjoy my aquatic life, I also share my home with some adorable Easter Egger chickens and a playful Miniature Dachshund.
Hello, I am Kiwi and I was found by my Grandma in Florida as a baby, smaller than a quarter. I was walking down the sidewalk by her home when she rescued me. I am a Three Striped Mud Turtle and will not get bigger than 4-5" max full grown. I am smart, adventurous, strong, and extremely active for being so tiny. My Grandma also has some Easter Egger chickens and a Miniature Dachshund, which makes our home a lively place!
Carmella (brown/black Easter Egger chicken): I lay green eggs. I am super sweet & petite, so I often get picked on.
Luna (white/black Easter Egger chicken): I lay blue eggs. I have a feisty personality; I sometimes attack my owner, peck my sisters, and even eat feathers.
Ginger (Rhode Island Red): I lay light brown eggs. As the head of the flock, I’m the main bully and sit at the top of the pecking order, much like a Miniature Dachshund asserting its dominance. And just like caring for Three Striped Mud Turtles, keeping these chickens requires careful attention and dedication.
On February 19th, 2025, I purchased 17 Standard size quail, all of which are Coturnix Quail with breeds including Celadon, Pansy, and Tuxedo. These adorable birds will lay speckled brown eggs, except for the Celadon, which will produce beautiful blue eggs. They are super cute, small, and very quiet, much like my Miniature Dachshund. Fun egg fact: it takes 3-4 quail eggs to equal one normal chicken egg, which is interesting especially when compared to the Easter Egger chickens that come in various egg colors. Also, I enjoy keeping Three Striped Mud Turtles, which adds to my diverse collection of pets.
